T'AI CHI FOUNDATION®
The T’ai Chi Foundation, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization founded by students of Professor Patrick Watson to make the teachings more available to the public. It organizes summer and winter intensive trainings in the United States and Europe,including the Apprentice Teaching Program and classes for the public. The School of T’ai Chi Chuan® is an international school founded by Professor Patrick Watson, a senior student of Grand Master Cheng Man-Ch’ing. Incorporated in 1976, the STCC has over 100 instructors, with branches in 14 cities in the United States and in six other countries. We teach the Yang style, 37-position short form of T’ai Chi Chuan, as modified by Master Cheng. Professor Watson, in consultation with Master Cheng and Oscar Ichazo, founder of Arica Institute® , Inc., designed our original curriculum.
OUR TEACHERS
Patrik Donahue and A.J. Allen, with over 60 years of combined experience, lead the team which includes teaching assistants. We have taught classes, workshops, and seminars for businesses, schools, and universities. We usually teach in teams of at least two per class to ensure that students have plenty of attention and help in mastering their T’ai Chi skills. All of our teachers are committed to their own personal development and practice of T’ai Chi and related arts, enabling them to teach you with skill and understanding.
THE ARICA SCHOOL®
